A $100 deposit is due at the time of booking. This deposit will be applied to any amount due after insurance reimbursement. If no payment is due, the deposit will be refunded to you following the evaluation.

Speech Therapy

Treatment of speech, language, voice, communication, and/or auditory processing disorder.

Lindsay Miller is a pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 12 years of clinical experience. She is licensed to serve clients in both Virginia and Maryland. Lindsay received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Pennsylvania State University, and her master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the George Washington University.

Lindsay has primary experience working in a specialized day school setting, serving individuals with intellectual, behavioral, and emotional needs. She has also worked in pediatric private practice, serving elementary and middle school age clients. Lindsay has worked with children, adolescents and young adults with a variety of developmental and acquired disabilities including autism, intellectual disability, emotional disability, traumatic brain injury, and Down Syndrome. She has treated clients with diagnoses including apraxia of speech and other motor speech disorders; literacy disorders; voice disorders; articulation disorders; fluency disorders; and receptive, expressive, and pragmatic language disorders.

Lindsay has collaborated with families and other professionals to ensure carryover of learned communication skills, including augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems. She has received various trainings, including Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT). In the school setting, Lindsay has advocated for her students to ensure they received the necessary SLP services.

In her free time, Lindsay enjoys cycling, baking, and gardening, as well as passing on these interests to her two young children!

Rachel Moon is a speech-language pathologist serving the pediatric population of Northern Virginia and Maryland. Rachel started her speech therapy journey working in early intervention outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While working in early intervention, she gained experience practicing community-based therapy and working with families of children aged 2-4 years old with various speech and language disorders. She moved to Virginia in 2019 and has worked at multiple pediatric private practice clinic settings seeing children from 12 months-21 years of age in both Virginia and Maryland. While working in pediatric clinics, Rachel has treated children with various disorders including Childhood Apraxia of Speech, articulation disorders, fluency disorders, Autism, Down Syndrome, AAC, receptive and expressive language disorders, and pragmatic language disorders. She believes that family members should be included in the treatment of their child and that their involvement is a major factor in treatment outcomes.

Jennifer Scott is a licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist with over 15 years of experience helping children develop strong communication skills. She has worked in private practice, schools, outpatient clinics, and teletherapy, supporting children with speech sound disorders, language delays, childhood apraxia of speech, stuttering, dyslexia, and social communication challenges. She has extensive experience working with children with neurodiversity including Autism and ADHD, as well as Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, and other developmental and acquired disabilities. Jennifer earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of Hawaii before going on to earn master’s degrees in both Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Central Florida as well as a master’s of education from Loyola University in Maryland. She strongly believes in a child-led, family-centered approach, believing that parent education and guided practice of target skills are key to success.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Jennifer has a strong background in education, having taught in various classroom and homeschool settings and provided individualized instruction across all subject areas. She is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and previously worked as an interpreter, allowing her to support children with diverse communication needs. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys social dancing, cooking, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her two teenagers. She is passionate about making therapy engaging, effective, and meaningful for every child she works with.
